The Challenge

The Adani Dighi Port hosts a number of cargos and terminals with commodities of all kinds. It is important for a seaport to monitor temperature, humidity, UV, light, wind direction, and wind speed to understand weather conditions and tidal wave behaviours. However, the Adani Dighi Port did not have a monitor capable of transferring real-time data to Adani Port’s display devices. Having flexible network connectivity options for accessing the information from the device was also crucial.

The Solution

Oizom installed a continuous meteorological monitoring instrument at Adani Dighi Port. The solution provided real-time weather data, which included parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind direction, and speed. The monitoring system was seamlessly integrated with data analytics and visualization software to enable dynamic access to real-time and historical data.

“Oizom’s continuous meteorological monitoring instrument is very useful to us for knowing short-time period changes in atmospheric weather such as temperature and humidity. This is very helpful to us to study its rain and wind flow at ports.” - Mr. Nandu Suthar, Senior Engineer, Adani Ports

The Result

The Adani Dighi Port can now monitor weather conditions on a real-time basis. The Data Analytics and Visualization software has enabled the authorities to gain insights into historical data and weather patterns, helping them make better decisions to prevent damage or rust to materials and cargo. The robustness and accuracy of the weather monitoring station have proven reliable.
